Role 02 // C++ Game Dev

C++ Video Game Developer

Los Angeles, CA // Full Time // On Site

We want a video game developer who understands why game engines feel responsive, debuggable, and fast, then applies that mindset to robotics. This is not a content role. It is a systems role for someone who likes performance budgets, tooling, simulation, input pipelines, and ruthless iteration speed.

If you can build clean C++ architecture, reason about frame-time style constraints, and create real-time interfaces that help operators understand what a machine is about to do, this role will feel natural.

What You Will Own

  • Write performance-critical C++ for inverse kinematics, controls, simulation, and related runtime systems.
  • Build internal tooling, visualizers, debuggers, and test harnesses that accelerate iteration.
  • Design deterministic or near-deterministic update paths where latency and observability matter.
  • Bridge perception, planning, and action systems with code that is fast enough for live use.
  • Bring game-engine discipline to profiling, memory use, build times, and interactive tooling.
  • Collaborate with hardware and AI teams to make real systems easier to inspect and tune.

Evidence We Want To See

  • Show shipped C++ gameplay, engine, tools, simulation, or networking systems.
  • Show profiling or optimization work where you made a real-time system materially faster.
  • Show interfaces or debug tooling that improved iteration speed for a team.
  • Show projects where game-dev instincts transferred cleanly into robotics, simulation, or control problems.
